Representing books, artists, and brands

Guess How Much RJM Licensing Loves its Tenth Anniversary

(January 25, 2010: Mahwah, NJ)  RJM Licensing is pleased to announce that 2010 marks the tenth year that we’ve been in business as a full service licensing agency representing books, artists, brands, and television personalities.  From a one property agency, RJM has grown considerably and now handles ten different licensing programs.

A decade ago, the President of RJM, Rob Mejia, approached Candlewick Press to convince them to entrust him to represent the beloved children’s book Guess How Much I Love You.  Looking back, Rob Mejia feels fortunate that enough manufacturers had faith in the program to sign on to the program.  More remarkable still, this licensing program is based on a single book without media (although RJM did license a live stage version of the book to a traveling theatre company) and the program still thrives today.  This program enabled RJM to expand to take on new and different properties as diverse as The Peterson Field Guides, House-Mouse Designs

and Caroline Manzo of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“I’m blessed that I’ve been lucky enough to work with forward-thinking individuals and companies who have been innovative with and dedicated to the brands we represent.  Too, the licensing community has been very supportive.  From sharing leads to offering advice, my colleagues have helped me survive and thrive. Hopefully, RJM will be around for another 10 years as well,” remarked Rob Mejia, President of RJM Licensing, Inc.
